Throughout the years, Tacony has demonstrated an expertise in marketing and product development. Tacony was the first in the country to identify the great potential of the household serger sewing machine. Through its efforts, the Baby Lock serger has become the premier machine in its class and has been rated number one by independent consumer groups. The same attention to quality and technological advances can be found in the entire line of Baby Lock sewing machines. Baby Lock’s challenge is to stay at the forefront of an ever-evolving sewing industry. To accomplish this, Tacony has identified these important goals: develop top quality sewing equipment that meets the ever-changing needs of the home sewer; develop programs to entice new sewers; provide support and leadership for retailers, the vital link for success.

With Tacony’s roots in the sewing and sewing parts business, they began to expand into the vacuum business. Many sewing dealers were also household vacuum dealers. As Tacony expended its focus on floor care, in 1996, Tacony acquired Powr-Flite, a leading manufacturer and distributor of commercial janitorial equipment including floor machines, extractors, carpet dryers, vacuums, and more. Powr-Flite strives to bring innovative and technologically progressive products to the commercial floor care industry at the best value. CFR, a manufacturer of innovative, eco-friendly commercial carpet care equipment was then acquired in 2000.

To better serve our customers around the globe through quality control and product development, Tacony also manufactures cleaning equipment in 4 of these facilities, with additional engineering and quality control services in Suzhou, China.

The Truvox International Ltd. Company in Millbrook, Southampton, U.K., offers a vast range of cleaning and maintenance products for hard and soft floors, including rotary floor polishers, scrubbers, dryers, carpet extractors and vacuum cleaners. The Truvox and Cimex brands have a strong reputation in the USA, Europe, Mid-East, Africa and Asia-Pacific for quality products and unrivaled customer service.
